How Does Opalescence Boost work?

Opalescence Boost is a powerful bleaching gel that can quickly whiten your smile.  Before applying it to your teeth, we will place a protective barrier on your gums. Then we will place a thin layer of the whitening gel on the surface of your teeth.  After twenty minutes, the bleach will then be removed and reapplied for a final twenty minutes, all while you relax and listen to music or catch up on your favorite Netflix shows on our in-treatment room HDTVs. 

How is the Opalescence Boost different from other in-office whitening systems?

Some in-office whitening procedures rely on bothersome heat producing lights or lasers to “activate” the chemical bleaching agent. However, Opalescence Boost is solely chemically activated, so it requires no light for whitening.   The unique, syringe-to-syringe mixing activates the product just prior to application, insuring that the whitening gel is always fresh and at its peak efficiency.

Aside from whitening teeth, Opalescence Boost contains potassium nitrate and fluoride, which help decrease sensitivity and improve oral health by strengthening enamel and increasing cavity prevention.

Opalescence in-office teeth whitening is dentist-supervised, thus the tooth whitening process is safe and effective, offering a brighter, whiter smile after just one appointment.

We have a solution for your specific need, whether it be overnight whitening with 10% Carbamide Peroxide or a quick 30 minute  session with 35%.

We accomplish this whitening in two steps:

1. We take an impression of your teeth. From this impression, we craft reusable custom whitening trays.
2. Second, in the comfort and privacy of your own home, you will take the whitening gel and put it in the trays and then wear them over the teeth for a short period of time over a period of a few days. Typically we see a whiter smile of 4 – 8 shades!

Additionally, since the trays are reusable and refills for whitening gel affordable, you can “touch up” your smile whenever you please.

The Opalescence sticky, viscous formula does not leach from the tray like other bleaching gels, and the sticky gel holds the comfortable tray securely in place. Potassium nitrate and fluoride decrease sensitivity while strengthening enamel and preventing caries.  Twenty percent water content prevents dehydration and shade relapse, making Opalescence one of the most reliable bleaching gels available.  The gel stays active for 8–10 hours during overnight bleaching, which means patients experience results quickly, increasing compliance.
